Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aviation Instructor to join our team at CAE. As an Aviation Instructor, you will be responsible for providing training and instruction to military personnel on the operation and maintenance of the MH-60R aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct scheduled training sessions for military personnel on the operation and maintenance of the MH-60R aircraft.
  • Evaluate and document student training performance.
  • Develop and maintain curriculum and training materials for the MH-60R aircraft.
  • Provide classroom instruction and recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct training device operation instruction to personnel.
  • Assist in training device testing and evaluation.
  • Provide academic instruction and support to students.
  • Maintain proficiency in operation of essential MH-60R Aircrew Training Devices.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 500 command hours on multi-engine, multi-crew, medium helicopter, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years instructional experience in an aircrew training environment on military rotary wing platforms.
  • Must have completed at least one sea-going tour.
  • Minimum ACTC Level IV highly desired.
  • ASW dipping sonar experience highly desired.
  • Seahawk Weapons Tactics Instructor (SWTI) highly desired.
  • Must possess the qualifications and experience necessary to be authorized by the HQ-FAA Chief Aircrew examiner or delegate as a competent simulator instructor in all MH-60R curriculum sequences in the TOFT, OFT & WTT.
  • Must have previous anti-submarine and surface warfare experience.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Must be willing to work any shift or day of the week as required.
  • Incumbent must be eligible for a US DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Working Environment

The successful candidate will work in a regular office environment and will be required to communicate via personal computer, telephone, and fax. The candidate will also be required to work in areas with risk of electrical shock and from moving mechanical parts driven by high power server mechanisms.

  • Domestic and international travel as required.
  • Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladder into a simulator or helicopter.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, and crawl on top of or under machinery.
  • Must be able to detect odors or hear noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect problems or flaws in the functioning of simulators and its surrounding environment.
Security Responsibilities

The successful candidate must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. The candidate must personally be responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. The candidate shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. The candidate shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

Language Skills

The successful candidate must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. The candidate will be required to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints. The candidate must be able to generate effective oral and written presentations and proposals on complex subjects.

Mathematical Skills

The successful candidate must be able to calculate figures and amounts, prices, commissions, and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability

The successful candidate must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable.
