The role of Corporate Reporting Specialist is a critical position within Movember, responsible for ensuring all corporate reporting requirements are met for Australia and globally. This includes managing corporate governance, fundraising authority, and tax authority submissions and requirements.
Key responsibilities of the Corporate Reporting Specialist include:
- Preparing financial statements and audits for Australia and New Zealand, including supporting working files and compliance with regulatory returns.
- Assisting in managing and answering audit queries, as well as preparing total funds raised and pie charts.
- Reconciling general reserves and restricted reserves, posting consolidated journals, and reviewing and lodging tax filings and BAS for Australia and New Zealand.
- Preparing annual regulatory returns for Australia and New Zealand, and assisting with the lodgement of annual returns and tax filings.
Additionally, the Corporate Reporting Specialist will be responsible for ensuring statutory audits globally are progressing in line with the agreed timetable, escalating and consolidating any risks to the timetable or a clean audit opinion, and reviewing statutory account drafts for offshore markets.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a CA/CPA/CIMA designation with at least 5 years' relevant experience in similar roles, strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively and flexibly as part of a team, including with colleagues overseas.
