Job Title: Coastal Area Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead small high-performing work teams in coastal resource management activities. The successful candidate will have strong coordination skills, with the ability to manage employees, contractors, materials, and conflicting priorities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake routine coastal resource management activities associated with the operational management of natural foreshores.
  • Lead projects or operational site activities which will include on-the-job support of teams in terms of material, work processes and work performance.
  • Supervise contracted machine works for beach and access maintenance.
  • Manage beach access tree and vegetation, pruning and vegetation dispersal and brush cutting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management or equivalent in a related discipline.
  • Locally relevant experience in coastal area management field.
  • Sound written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to use business technologies including MS Office Suite, mobile devices, asset, customer and property management systems.
  • Problem solving and communication skills necessary to follow direction.
