Medical Officer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Officer to join our team in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Provide high-quality medical services to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment in inpatients and outpatient areas.
  • Clinical Development: Develop skills in labour ward management and gynaecology operating, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
  • Experience: Completion of a minimum of 4 post graduate years or more working in an acute hospital setting with a minimum of 12 months Obstetrics & Gynaecology as a Career Medical Officer, Trainee or Senior Resident Medical Officer.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills (at the required level of competency) and judgment and expertise.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, including providing leadership and direction to ensure appropriate management of patients.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills, with minimum of 30 words per minute.
