About the Role- The primary purpose of this position is to provide quality care to patients in a complex clinical environment.
- Medical Officers will work under an appropriate level of supervision according to their level of competence to evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages presenting in any condition and will work in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
- Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and consult on patients of all ages in various inpatient and outpatient settings
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- MBBS or equivalent qualification required
- Currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Australian and NZ Graduates/Competent Authority Pathway Candidates: Completion of 1 postgraduate year or more as a medical officer in an acute hospital setting and practiced clinical medicine in an acute hospital setting for a minimum of 12 months out of the past 2 years
- Standard Pathway Candidates: Completion of a minimum of 2 postgraduate years or more as a medical officer in an acute hospital setting and practiced clinical medicine in an acute hospital setting for a minimum of 12 months out of the past 2 years
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership and direction to ensure appropriate management of patients
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilizing excellent clinical skills, judgment, and expertise
- Demonstrated time management and problem-solving skills along with evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self-education
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills
