Sous Chef Role: Join our dynamic team as a talented Sous Chef to lead the culinary experience for our clients and staff.

">About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operation of the kitchen, including the preparation of breakfasts, morning and afternoon teas, lunches, formal lunches and dinners, cocktail events, after-hours meals, sandwiches, and other catering requirements.

You will ensure the provision of high-quality catering on the client floor is delivered to the highest standard for Partners, Clients, and Staff. This includes working closely with the Head Chef to plan menus that are well-balanced, seasonally appropriate, and meet the needs of our clients and staff.

You will also be responsible for liaising with the Head Chef regarding daily, weekly, and monthly catering requirements and assist in planning workflow accordingly. Additionally, you will collaborate with kitchen staff to support daily operations, foster positive working relationships, and contribute to the development and monitoring of team KPIs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the daily operation of the kitchen and support catering requirements for breakfasts, teas, lunches, dinners, events, and after-hours meals.
  • Ensure catering on client floors is delivered to the highest standard for Partners, Clients, and Staff.
  • Assist with menu planning to be well-balanced, seasonally appropriate, and meet the needs of clients and staff.
  • Liaise with the Head Chef on daily, weekly, and monthly requirements and help plan workflow.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to support daily operations and monitor team KPIs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience as a Sous Chef or a Chef de Partie.
  • Ability to supervise staff and give direction.
  • Vast knowledge of food preparation.
  • Knowledge of current and future food trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure.
  • Flexibility with regard to overtime for morning and evening functions.
