Hospitality and Environmental Services Assistant Opportunity

The Hospitality and Environmental Services Assistant is a full-time, fixed-term position within the Hospitality and Environmental Services Department at West Wimmera Health Service.
This opportunity is available across select WWHS sites, offering a unique chance to work in various settings while developing essential skills.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain high standards of cleaning and hygiene in acute facilities, residential aged care areas, and external properties.
- Assist with meal preparation, service, and delivery for patients, residents, staff, and other functions, adhering to Food Safety Guidelines.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are properly maintained and meet Department of Human Services Standards and Infection Control Guidelines.
- Work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Effective communication and organisational skills to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate ability to learn and use computer software packages, including Microsoft, Outlook, Word, Excel, and other necessary tools.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks, manage time, and adapt to changing situations.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and support employees.
- Evidence of excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work without supervision and make sound decisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, including patients, residents, staff, and management.
- Experience in prioritising tasks, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of computer software and systems, including Microsoft Office and other relevant tools.
