Job Title: Scalable Data Operations Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scalable Data Operations Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Integration Platform, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust data platforms. This includes real-time data streaming, distribution, and secure file transfer platforms like Confluent Platform, CrushFTP etc.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the high availability, resilience, and security of our real-time data platforms. You will work closely with the wider Data & Integration team and other cross-functional teams to operate, manage, and maintain ASX's data platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Deploy, operate, and manage data streaming and distribution platforms – Confluent Platform, CrushFTP in a hybrid environment consisting of a mix of on-prem & cloud environments.
  • Perform day-to-day platform operations like upgrades, scaling, patching & monitoring via CI/CD pipelines.
  • Remediate aged asset and security risks by migration of ASX data distribution platforms to new architecture.
  • Build out standard operating procedures, fulfill service requests, resolve incidents, and analyze problems.
  • Build and maintain DevOps pipelines & practices to streamline the development, testing, and deployment processes of the Integration Platform.
Requirements
  • Successful deployment and operation of data platforms in a Production environment.
  • Experience in building, deploying, and managing services in a Cloud environment using DevOps tooling.
  • Unix, Windows knowledge and scripting using Shell, Perl, PowerShell, Python etc.
  • Excellent technical & problem-solving skills.
  • Proven record of delivering technical solutions that meet set requirements.
  • Operated in, or developed reasonable understanding of, finance services.
