  Are you a AWS Data Platform Engineer in data-driven or migration projects that help organisations successfully build, develop and deploy data-driven decisions?
  
  This opportunity provides the opportunity to work with Customers, upskill/finesse your consulting skills, liaise directly with key stakeholders whilst being mentored by Data Leads.
  
  Key Responsibilities:
  • Migration Planning and Execution: Develop and implement a detailed migration plan from Cloudera to AWS native data services, with a strong focus on HMS and Glue.
  • Data Integration: Ensure seamless integration of data across various platforms and services, maintaining data integrity and consistency.
  • Automation: Automate data migration and synchronisation processes and workflows.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers and platform engineers to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.
  • Documentation: Assist in building out incident response plans and resilience documentation for knowledge transfer and use in platform certification.
    
    
  Required Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive experience with AWS Glue, AWS Lake Formation, and AWS EMR
  • Strong background in data migration projects, particularly from Cloudera to AWS native data services
  • Proficiency in AWS services such as S3, Redshift, and Athena
  • In-depth knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
