We are seeking an experienced Defence Project Manager to join our team at Amida Group. As a key member of our Defence Division, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering Defence projects, leading the projects team, client liaison, project planning, managing risk and subcontractors, and business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Defence projects safely and successfully, utilizing available resources and adhering to quality, time, cost, and performance constraints.
  • Provide effective leadership for projects to ensure achievement of project outcomes, maximizing benefits to our clients and their customers.
  • Engage with customers to ensure repeat business and satisfaction.
  • Plan and coordinate project labour and resources, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Monitor changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, and measuring, valuing, and negotiating variations to design.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and deliverables, guaranteeing commitments are met.
  • Manage risk and control, monitoring processes to remove or reduce risks of environmental harm or nuisance.
  • Maintain positive relationships and liaise with senior management, stakeholders, subcontractors, and project teams.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, or a similar discipline.
  • Extensive Defence experience, ideally 10 years+.
  • Previous Contract management and Quality, Cost & Schedule experience on Defence projects, including ASDEFCON experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Highly articulate with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience leading and managing a large team.
  • A high level of organisational and time management skills.
  • Advanced Computer skills using Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Open Plan Professional, Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar.
  • Ability to obtain Baseline security clearance.
