Support Worker for Family Violence

Seeking a compassionate and resilient practitioner to deliver critical support to women and children impacted by family violence, providing immediate responses, safety planning, crisis support, and referrals in community and crisis accommodation settings.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work from a feminist and trauma-informed perspective, walking alongside those in crisis to offer hope, support, and a pathway forward. The position is based in Windsor VIC and compensation is aligned with the SCHADS Award Level 5.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond promptly to referrals and provide outreach support in community and crisis settings.
- Conduct assessments, deliver crisis interventions, and develop collaborative case plans.
- Connect clients with holistic culturally appropriate services and community supports.
- Maintain accurate confidential records to ensure continuity of care.
- Advocate for client safety and well-being, and identify service gaps for improvement.
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work or equivalent – essential
- Experience in family violence or child wellbeing work – highly desirable
- Strong crisis intervention skills and a calm empathetic approach
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Knowledge of family violence frameworks and child protection principles
- Commitment to culturally safe inclusive and trauma-informed practice
- Current and valid Employee Working with Children's Check
- Full VIC Driver's Licence
