High Voltage Electrician Role

The role of a High Voltage Electrician is a critical position within the mining industry. It involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mining equipment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment to prevent any electrical issues that could compromise operations.
  • Diagnostics and fault finding to identify and resolve electrical problems as they arise.
  • Performing workshop and pit duties as required to support the maintenance team in delivering exceptional results.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and policies to protect personnel and equipment.
Requirements
  • A relevant Australian-recognised trade certificate for electricians, which demonstrates expertise in high voltage electrical systems.
  • An HV switching ticket, which confirms proficiency in working with high voltage electrical systems.
  • Previous experience working in mining, where you can apply your skills and knowledge in a dynamic environment.
  • Mobile plant experience is essential, as this will enable you to maintain and repair complex machinery efficiently.
