Electrical Technical Coordinator Job Opportunity

You will play a key role in the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of our high voltage power systems across our Pilbara mine sites.

About the Role

This position is responsible for supervising and supporting site operations to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support site operations to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Lead troubleshooting, audits, incident investigations, and provide technical guidance.
  • Manage high voltage electrical equipment and coordinate shutdowns and planned outages.
  • Oversee small projects and system upgrades, maintaining safe work procedures.
  • Drive maintenance strategies, condition monitoring, and reliability improvements.
  • Collaborate with planners and engineers to prioritise and execute maintenance efficiently.
  • Act as the technical link between site and engineering teams for commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
Requirements

Required qualifications include an Electrical Trade Qualification and HV Switching Certification with proven hands-on experience.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in HV electrical networks is required, preferably in transmission/distribution.

Strong knowledge of HV maintenance, electrical standards (AS3000, WHS, Electricity Act) is necessary.

Experience with Siemens GIS switchgear and SAP is desirable.

Excellent problem-solving and prioritisation skills are essential.

Able to work independently and within diverse teams.
