Job Title: Restaurant Service Leader

We are seeking a skilled and experienced service leader to join our team. As a key member of the food and beverage department, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

  • Supervise restaurant staff during service hours, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and employee performance.
  • Support and guide colleagues through effective communication, providing constructive feedback and coaching when necessary.
  • Manage daily tasks such as setting tables, cleaning, opening and closing the restaurant, and preparing drinks and service areas.
  • Assist in managing staff rosters, including filling shifts and adjusting schedules when team members are unavailable.
  • Oversee stock and supplies, placing orders, conducting stock counts, and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and concerns.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to motivate and prepare the team for service.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols and guidelines.
About You:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a hands-on approach to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proven track record of maintaining high service standards in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Sound knowledge of inventory management processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with workplace health and safety regulations and compliance.
  • Professional presentation and reliability.
  • Australian work rights are essential.
