About the Role

VMCH Disability Services is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities in a variety of settings.

The successful candidates will work in a friendly and supportive environment, providing individualized care and support to clients in their homes, community centers, or other settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care services, including assistance with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and mobility
  • Supporting clients with domestic duties, such as cleaning, cooking, and shopping
  • Assisting with administration tasks, including documentation, reporting, and care plan development
  • Working collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to achieve client-centered goals

Requirements:

  • Experience working in the disability sector, preferably with a Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Disability
  • Knowledge of and respect for the rights and choices of clients and their families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children's Check
  • Valid vaccinations status, including 2022 flu vaccination and COVID-19 vaccinations
