We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Holcim, a world-leading sustainable building materials company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing production projects from order stage through to final delivery and site follow-up.
Key Responsibilities- Drive project performance to achieve tendered objectives and targets in a way that encourages continued business with head contractors in the construction and infrastructure industries.
- Ensure the timely delivery of quality products and services that meet the expectations of our customers.
- Produce manufacturing and delivery programs to all project stakeholders and provide regular updates for delivery On-Time-In-Full.
- Review and assess contracts, specifications, and drawings to limit Humes' exposure to potential risks and ensure compliance.
- Monitor project budgets in liaison with operational stakeholders to ensure spending is controlled to meet financial targets.
- Ensure specialized, non-stock items for each allocated project are correctly detailed in the procurement process to ensure accurate and timely delivery to plan.
- Qualifications in or a sound understanding of civil engineering principles.
- Experience in Precast, Concrete, and/or related industries, such as Construction, Steel, or heavy manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Quantity Surveying, Estimating, and Tendering.
- Extensive project management experience.
- Ability to read drawings.
- A good understanding of the cost drivers of the business.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of contractual matters and a high level of commercial awareness.
- Proactive approach to managing time, cost, quality, and OH&S issues with outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Sound skills in Microsoft Office and SAP.
