Accounts Receivable Role

In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless processing of financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to apply your financial expertise in a fast-paced environment, focusing on delivering exceptional results and exceeding expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process credit applications and establish accounts with precision.
  • Maintain and update debtor records, verifying creditor details and invoicing documentation.
  • Prepare and issue invoices for services, rates, city ledger transfers, and monthly statements.
  • Manage daily payment processing and reconciliations, including cheques, card transactions, and ledger adjustments.
  • Respond to debtor inquiries, collaborating with internal teams and banks to resolve disputes and refunds.
  • Monitor overdue accounts and escalate unresolved issues to the Financial Controller.
  • Review and process commissions and payments, ensuring timely and accurate posting.
  • Assist with closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries related to receivables.
  • Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts, aging analyses, and reviews for management.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent accounting/finance experience.
  • Previous industry experience is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in financial procedures, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
