As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a vital role in driving business success by facilitating and improving enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the development and ongoing review of key strategic documents, including community visions and council plans.
- Leading and championing the delivery of organisational strategies to ensure understanding, integration, and alignment across the organisation.
- Facilitating the translation of high-level strategies into actionable plans that support the organisation to achieve its strategic objectives.
- Developing tools, processes, and activities to uplift strategic thinking and capabilities across the organisation.
- Partnering with senior leaders to uplift strategic capability to enable effective participation in strategic planning and execution.
- Collaborating with the broader organisation to foster strong relationships and ensure alignment of strategic initiatives with operational activities.
To succeed in this role, you will require demonstrated knowledge and proven experience in leading strategy development and execution, preferably with some knowledge of business improvement, organisational design, and project management methodologies.
Essential qualifications include:
- Tertiary qualification in commerce or a business-related discipline, plus significant experience, or an equivalent combination of formal qualifications and experience (MBA desirable).
- Demonstrated experience in managing senior stakeholders, i.e. government, boards, coaching executive teams, and collaborating with others in pursuit of business goals with organisation-wide impact.
- Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills, with proven ability to monitor and analyse trends and make recommendations.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of people internally and externally.
- Proven ability to challenge the status quo and manage change in complex and often challenging work environments.
- Proven ability to effectively negotiate with and influence stakeholders to achieve support and strategic outcomes.
