Senior Tax Advisor

This is a market leading opportunity to work on significant transactions in Australia. Our clients cover various sectors, including private equity, infrastructure, property and financial services.

Your Role

You will be responsible for day-to-day tasks, working directly with our clients, including:

  • Tax Due Diligence - Assist in identifying duty and land tax exposures of a deal, focusing on risk assessment and clear communication.
  • Structuring - Advise on the duty consequences of mergers, acquisitions and divestments.
  • Post-Deal Implementation - Identify duty obligations and assist in preparing submissions for lodgements and applications.
  • Advisory - Conduct tax research, provide advice on tax planning opportunities and assist clients in managing tax risks.
  • Updates - Stay up-to-date with developments in state taxes and regulatory updates.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent. Recent M&A/transactional experience is advantageous.

  • Able to demonstrate a keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
