Teacher - Electrical Technology Specialist

The Electrotechnology teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality education and training in electrotechnology to students at the Ipswich Campus.
- Deliver industry-relevant teaching and learning activities, including developing flexible and innovative learning options.
Key Capabilities:
- Strong skills and knowledge of national training packages and accredited courses to support competency development.
- Capacity for best practice in teaching and learning activities, including the development of technology-enhanced learning options.
- Initiative, self-management, teamwork, and sustainable practice, with ability to accept, promote, and manage change through well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to self-development, focusing on maintaining skills contemporary to industry and teaching practices, as well as using educational technologies and Learning Management Systems to support learning.
- Sound knowledge of safe, equitable, and anti-discriminatory work practices, with ability to be flexible, inclusive, responsive, and deliver quality student experience.
This position requires a Certificate III in Electrotechnology and one of the following training and assessment credentials: TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, or a higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
Additionally, this role mandates current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided, current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning, evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning, and assessment, and a current Queensland Driver's license.
