Strategic Legal Advisor

We are seeking a seasoned Legal Professional to provide expert strategic advice and contract management services to our senior management team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, as well as providing counsel on transactional legal matters. They will also be responsible for delivering outcomes to budget, reducing reliance on external legal counsel, and embedding effective procurement and contract management processes.
- Provide strategic advice on a range of matters, including commercial agreements, technology agreements, M&A, policies, corporate structures, and franchising law issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to mitigate legal risk while facilitating commercial outcomes.
- Deliver outcomes to budget, reduce reliance on external legal counsel, and embed an effective procurement and contract management process.
- Advising on significant regulatory issues, developing risk mitigation strategies, policies, and processes, and remaining abreast of legislative changes.
The successful candidate will possess a current, unrestricted QLD Practising Certificate or eligibility to acquire one, excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, and experience in consumer credit, technology agreements, privacy law, or franchising.
