Maternity Care Specialist Position

We are seeking an experienced Maternity Care Specialist to join our Postnatal and Birth Suite Unit in East Melbourne.

  • Provide expert care to postnatal mothers and newborns, including guidance on feeding, baby care, and maternal recovery.
  • Monitor and assess the health and wellbeing of both mother and baby, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure a seamless patient-centered experience through collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Model empathy, compassion, and professionalism in your interactions with patients and families.
  • Continuously enhance your skills by participating in ongoing education and staying current with best practices in maternity care.
Requirements
  • AHPRA Registration as a midwife is essential.
  • Prior experience in a Birth Suite and/or Postnatal ward is required.
  • A strong understanding of contemporary maternity and newborn care practices is necessary.
  • A passion for providing exceptional care to women and their families is essential.

The annual salary range for full-time midwives is $71,622 - $100,564 + super + entitlements, depending on registration type, year level, and position/experience (prorated for part-time).
