Expert Maternal Fetal Medicine Consultant

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary maternal fetal medicine unit at Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to combine ultrasound scanning with patient consultation in high-risk settings, including multiple pregnancies, fetal medicine, maternal medicine, and postnatal counseling.
Key Responsibilities:- Performing ultrasounds under supervision of sonographers and sonologists.
- Counselling women with complex pregnancies, including those with maternal medical disorders or fetal complications, and developing appropriate evidence-based management plans.
- Ensuring quality patient care by adhering to clinical procedures as per Western Health policies and procedures.
- Accurately documenting patient treatment plans, requirements, outcomes, or events within prescribed documentation.
- Participating in early pregnancy assessment service (EPAS) ultrasound roster.
- Completion of medical degree (MBBS) or equivalent primary medical degree.
- Current or eligible medical registration with AHPRA.
- Advanced obstetrics and gynaecology trainee nearing completion of training (minimum Level 5/6 FRANZCOG or equivalent), or completed obstetrics and gynaecology training (FRANZCOG or equivalent).
