Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Primary Health Care Specialist to join our team in Broome, WA. This role offers the opportunity to work in a busy Western Australian primary health care clinic, providing holistic and culturally responsive care to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • To manage patient triage, diagnosis, prescribing, and care planning independently within a dynamic WA primary health care environment.
  • To deliver advanced clinical assessment and treatment that is respectful of diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • To collaborate closely with Aboriginal Health Workers, General Practitioners, and Allied Health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • To support timely access to care and evidence-based practice, driving improved health outcomes for the community.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Current registration as a Nurse with Nurse Practitioner endorsement from AHPRA.
  • Extensive experience in assessing and treating illness/injury in primary care settings.
  • Advanced skills in clinical decision-making and care planning.
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Sensitivity, diplomacy, and discretion when handling complex or confidential matters.
Benefits Package
  • $150k - $65k p.a. salary range (based on experience).
  • 6 weeks annual leave + study leave.
