Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead our General/Gynae/Urology team on a 12-month contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction for the unit, coordinating the delivery of nursing care, and ensuring exceptional patient and family centred care in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing strategic direction for the unit to ensure efficient management
  • Coordinating the delivery of evidence-based nursing care
  • Ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient and family centred care in a collaborative environment
  • Providing guidance, mentoring and support to your team
  • Be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources
  • Undertaking direct patient care, as required
  • Compliance with relevant standards

Requirements:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams with a service excellence approach
  • Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with diverse stakeholders
  • Good knowledge base in labour management
  • Understanding of clinical and customer-focused care principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databases
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
