We are seeking an experienced and skilled veterinary nurse to join our team in a senior capacity. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a calm and friendly presence.
As a senior veterinary nurse, you will be responsible for managing a team of veterinary nurses, guiding and developing the nursing team, and undertaking general nursing tasks such as pre and post-operative care, animal pathology, and emergency and critical care.
You will also take initiative to enhance clinic operations and efficiency, collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure high standards of patient care, handle client enquiries professionally, manage stock inventory, and organize maintenance and repairs of equipment.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a veterinary nurse
- Cert IV qualification in Veterinary Nursing
- Experience coaching and mentoring veterinary nurses
- Possesses strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Great communication and customer service skills
- Flexible and adaptable within a team environment
