Board Director Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our Board as a Director.

The National Chinese Museum of Australia is dedicated to preserving and promoting Chinese Australian culture and history. As a Board Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping the organisation's purpose, vision, and governance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of the organisation's strategic direction
  • Participate in Board discussions and decision-making processes
  • Provide guidance and direction to the team
  • Maintain organisational compliance with legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Promote the organisation's work and values to the community

Requirements:

  1. A strong commitment to the organisation's purpose and vision
  2. Experience serving on non-profit Boards or equivalent leadership roles
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  5. Strategic thinking and planning abilities
  6. A willingness to commit to a minimum of three years of service on the Board
  7. An understanding of regulatory requirements for NFP organisations/Company Limited by Guarantee
