Policy Officer

This role will coordinate research and writing to contribute to policy development in the Early Childhood sector.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience. They must also hold a valid Working with Children Check for paid employment or be able to obtain one if successful.

A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy is essential.

  • Undertake research and analysis to support evidence-based policy development, including opportunities aligning with broader reform priorities and initiatives.
  • Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate engagement in and contribution to policy solutions.
  • Prepare high-quality written advice, including correspondence, reports, briefs, policy documents, and discussion papers.
