Database Expert Role

The role of a Database Expert involves driving continuous improvement in order to increase operation, availability, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong conceptual understanding of RDBMS products and over 13+ years of experience as a Database Administrator in a global operations team.

This position requires the ability to work with Center of Excellence teams to drive critical topics related to Incident Management, Problem Management, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup & Restore, and other operational tasks. The successful candidate should also have exposure to automation tools/scripting or processes, DB installations and upgrades, planning, setup, and implementation.

A technical expert is required who can provide support in optimizing and tuning systems, performance optimization, DB concept on security, backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, system copies, high availability and disaster recovery strategy, export-import, replication, and day-to-day documentation.

  • Strong conceptual understanding and knowledge of RDBMS products
  • Over 13+ years of work experience as Database Administrator in Global Operations team
  • Exposure to automation tools/scripting or processes
  • DB installations and upgrades, planning, setup, and implementation
  • Providing technical expertise and support in optimizing and tuning of Systems

Key Requirements:

• Strong conceptual understanding and knowledge of RDBMS products

• Over 13+ years of work experience as Database Administrator in Global Operations team

• Exposure to automation tools/scripting or processes

• DB installations and upgrades, planning, setup, and implementation

• Providing technical expertise and support in optimizing and tuning of Systems

• Cloud knowledge (desirable but not essential)

• Professional certification of database platforms (desirable)
