We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Engineer Associate to join our Energy business. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering innovative solutions to our clients across the energy infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities- Provide subject matter expertise in power systems analysis to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Lead and execute projects, providing technical support and mentoring a team of engineers to perform power system studies.
- Advise clients on power generation projects, energy storage projects, and power networks operation.
- Interface with external clients, network service providers, and AEMO.
- Contribute to the development of innovative projects in energy storage and inverters-based generation markets.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of electrical engineering and power systems theory. A degree qualification and at least 10-15 years' post-graduation experience in a power industry role as a consultant or power project developer/owner/operator are required.
Experience with power system modelling software such as PSSE, PSCAD, and DIgSILENT PowerFactory is preferred. Site and practical experience with power systems behavior are also a plus. A sound knowledge of the National Electricity Rules and the grid connection process across the NEM is essential.
