Key Responsibilities
  • Project and Design Management: Work closely with a team to provide project and design management services to clients in the Resources and New Energy sector.
  • Project Execution: Direct the success of projects by achieving project objectives and KPIs, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement Jacobs QA procedures and Client QA requirements, guaranteeing adherence to industry standards.
  • Hands-On Management: Engage in hands-on project and design management, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering disciplines.
  • Time and Budget Management: Manage time, cost, budget, and change management to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Field Support: Provide support to fieldwork of clients and their contractors during commissioning, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Commercial Outcomes: Meet commercial outcomes by managing own hours and budgets, and where applicable, hours and budgets of other team members.
  • Assistant Project Manager Duties: Perform Assistant Project Manager duties on medium and large consulting projects within Jacobs and on medium and large capital and external projects.
  • Business Development: Actively participate in winning projects for the Resources Hub.
  • Client Focused: Lead client focus and responsiveness efforts, prioritizing client satisfaction.
  • Global Collaboration: Support your Professional Unit (PU) to thrive in a global setting.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager Lead who possesses a relevant tertiary degree and solid professional Project/Program Management experience. The ideal candidate will have current knowledge of project delivery methods, applicable codes and specifications associated with new energy and resources projects. They must also demonstrate a track record of successfully delivering within various aspects of project management delivery.

Requirements
  • Relevant Tertiary Degree and solid professional Project/Program Management experience.
  • Current knowledge of project delivery methods, applicable codes and specifications associated with new energy and resources projects.
  • Experience and demonstrated track record of successfully delivering within various aspects of project management delivery.
  • Extensive understanding of managing engineering design packages and multidisciplinary engineering disciplines.
  • Extensive understanding of project management principles, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in project management software.
  • A strategic and innovative mindset coupled with the ability to solve complex problems, using strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with others.
