Lead Automation Testing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Lead to spearhead our test strategies and plans based on project requirements. This involves leading test execution, defect management, and implementing and maintaining automation frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in UI, API automation, and mobile applications automation. They should also have a good understanding and experience in creating robust automation frameworks, which are reusable and easily maintainable.

In addition, the candidate should be able to independently create, execute, and maintain comprehensive automation frameworks, as well as have experience in BDD (Behavior Driven Development)/TDD using tools like Cucumber, Serenity, and Playwright-BDD.

They should also have experience working with build automation tools such as Maven, Gradle, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Bamboo.

This role will contribute to creating solutions and approaches for proposals on QA for our customers. The Technical Lead will guide and mentor team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement test strategies and plans based on project requirements
  • Implement and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive automation frameworks
  • Create solutions and approaches for proposals on QA for our customers
  • Guide and mentor team members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution
  • At least 3-5 years of experience with Information Technology
  • Tertiary qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline
