Job Overview

This is a key role for a senior mechanical engineering specialist to lead and deliver projects, leveraging considerable independence, originality, ingenuity, and judgement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a technical specialist in applied advanced concepts, principles, and methods in an assigned area.
  • Perform professional technical work involving considerable independence, originality, ingenuity, and judgement.
  • Provide technical advice to management and business units and direct or advise on use of equipment or materials.
  • Supervise and review the work of engineers, designers/drafters, and technicians.
About You
  • Experience with machinery such as stackers, reclaimers, excavators, minerals processing plants, mobile mining machinery, underground mining, draglines, belt conveyors, rolling stock, ship loaders, port machinery, and cranes.
  • Thorough knowledge of local and international design codes for the above equipment.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience post-graduation.
  • Relevant registration with a recognized engineering/environmental body.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales and business development.
  • Existing customer network or proven ability to develop key customer relationships.
  • Experience working within the engineering or resources sector.
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
