Senior Mechanical Engineering Specialist

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced mechanical engineering specialist to lead our expansion into new markets and deliver successful projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop bids and proposals, and liaise with program managers.
  • Perform professional technical work involving independence, originality, ingenuity, and judgement.
  • Provide technical advice to management and business units, directing or advising on equipment or material use.
  • Supervise and review the work of engineers, designers, drafters, and technicians.
  • Contribute to thought leadership activities through work, papers, and presentations at events, seminars, and conferences.
Requirements:
  • Experience with machinery such as stackers, reclaimers, excavators, minerals processing plant, mobile mining machinery, underground mining, draglines, belt conveyors, rolling stock, ship loaders, port machinery, cranes, etc.
  • A thorough knowledge of local and international governing design codes for the above equipment.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant area of study.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience post-graduation.
  • Relevant registration with recognized engineering/environmental body.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales and business development.
  • An existing customer network or previous experience in developing key customer relationships.
  • Experience working within the engineering or resources sector.
