The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our NSW Safety and Industrial (SI) team. As our Senior Business Development Manager, this role will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager.

You will be working closely with our end users and reseller partners to evaluate requirements and provide tailored solutions for workplace safety products such as lockout tagout and hand protection.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify business development opportunities, competitive threats, and changes in customer buying trends within the territory, reporting and responding accordingly.
  2. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities, ensuring effective management and successful conversion into tangible results.
  3. Manage a territory of resellers and end users with a strong focus on retention and growth, identifying new market opportunities and implementing innovative strategies to expand our presence within the existing customer base.
  4. Align product and service solutions precisely with customer and end-user needs and preferences.
  5. Assist the Regional Sales Manager by providing support for the NSW team and its activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Prior background in roles such as Business Development, Technical Sales, or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage with a variety of people at all levels.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to keep key stakeholders engaged in longer sales projects requiring capital investment.
  • Exemplary skills in relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation.
  • A collaborative team player, adept at driving results and contributing to team objectives.
  • Experience and network within the mining and power generation sectors are highly advantageous.
  • High levels of trust, integrity, and self-motivation.
  • A valid full driver's license is required.
