The Opportunity

We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented pharmacist or technician to join our Compounding Support team. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional advice and support to our clients, helping them introduce or expand their compounding practices.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and review formulations to meet client needs, ensuring chemical compatibility, mathematical accuracy, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
  2. Respond to customer inquiries, providing expert support on compounding-related questions.
  3. Collaborate with the sales team to promote MEDISCA products and services, becoming an expert on equipment, devices, and formulations.
  4. Contribute to technical writing, interpreting formulation worksheets, and compiling researched literature.
  5. Participate in quality system development, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations governing pharmaceutical compounding.
  6. Facilitate compounding training activities for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, continuously improving and redesigning programs based on advances in practice and technology.
  7. Additional responsibilities may include providing technical training, contributing to editorial content, and liaising with professional organizations and government agencies.

About You

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical compounding industry, preferably with 1+ year of experience in a compounding pharmacy lab.
  • Lab experience in compounding, research, and development.
  • AHPRA registration or a Bachelor's degree in a Life Sciences/Medical Sciences related discipline.
  • Knowledge of APC and RACGP criteria for CPD development.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent English (oral and written), and strong work ethic, judgment, and discretion.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills, with advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a professional image.
  • Results-oriented, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly, and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
