Job Overview

Cummins Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Equipment Technician - Engine Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our service and maintenance department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services to our customers.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Automotive Mechanic with advanced knowledge of engine products and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience providing technical advice and coaching to junior technicians and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing complex engine issues.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Completing repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel equipment, including engine rebuilding and reconditioning
  • Inspecting and replacing components as required
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation
  • Providing technical advice and coaching to junior technicians

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in mechanical trades, preferably with experience in the service and maintenance of heavy or light diesel products
  • Advanced knowledge of engine products and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Excellent diagnostic and IT capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
