Required Skills and Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Mild Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, complex behaviour and emotional needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to differentiate the curriculum, develop, implement, assess, monitor and evaluate plans to meet the academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs of students.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to maintain effective partnerships with students, parents, the community and colleagues to support student learning and engagement.
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills that support the learning, behavioural and wellbeing needs of a range of students.
