MacKillop Family Services Limited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our Out of Home Care team. As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for young people in our care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to the emotional and functional needs of the young people, developing their personal skills, and participating in the day-to-day operation of the unit. You will work closely with the Residential House Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the unit and provide high-quality care to our clients.

To be successful in this role, you will have a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care) or other similar or relevant tertiary qualifications. You will also have a genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing, as well as demonstrated empathy for young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for young people in our care
  • Respond to the emotional and functional needs of the young people
  • Develop the personal skills of the young people
  • Participate in the day-to-day operation of the unit
  • Work closely with the Residential House Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the unit
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care) or other similar or relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing
  • Demonstrated empathy for young people in our care
  • Valid and current Driver's Licence
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop)
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check
  • Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles)
