Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in preparing healthy, balanced meals for children. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in cooking and possess strong knowledge of child nutrition and meal planning.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity with 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, offering above award pay, staff discounts, and professional development opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and deliver nutritious meals and snacks aligned with national dietary guidelines.
  • Cater for dietary requirements including allergies, intolerances, and cultural needs.
  • Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
  • Work with educators to support learning themes and special events through food.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a cook or kitchen hand, ideally in early childhood, schools, or aged care settings.
  • Relevant cookery / food studies would be desirable.
  • Strong understanding of child nutrition and meal planning.
  • Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent time management, communication, and organisational skills.
