As a key member of our dynamic and fast-paced team, you will be responsible for meeting production targets by underwriting new business, endorsement changes or renewals.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor portfolio profitability and provide constructive feedback to improve performance
  • Evaluate, accept or decline new business, endorsements or renewal business based on underwriting guidelines
  • Collate underwriting information and refer risks outside the scope of authorities issued or the underwriting guidelines to the Unit Manager with recommendations
  • Monitor competitors' products and recommend wording changes to sustain competitive advantage
Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
  • Demonstrated underwriting skills, negotiation and marketing skills
  • Organisational and analytical skills, policy documentation and understanding of appraisal services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
