Gilmour Space Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Solid Motor Engineer to join our team of experts in the design, development, and testing of solid rocket motors.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop solid rocket motors, including fuel and motor design, internal ballistics, and test plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all designs, drawings, and test plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and test teams, to ensure seamless integration and execution of propulsion systems.
- Conduct and review solid rocket motor engine tests, and produce comprehensive test reports.
- Utilize CAD software to design and create detailed drawings and models of propulsion systems.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering.
- Proven experience in solid rocket motor design, development, and testing.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Strong understanding of propulsion systems, including solid rocket motors, and their applications in space exploration.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Master's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Experience with commercial FEA or Multiphysics simulation packages.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing of propulsion systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
