Flight Software Engineer I

Gilmour Space Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Flight Software Engineer I to join our team. As a junior engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Flight Software Engineering activities in the Software, Electrical, GNC and Avionics department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of advanced embedded software, including Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithms
  • Conduct reviews, support DevOps, testing and operations
  • Produce documentation and communicate across teams to ensure duties are performed in an efficient and timely manner

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software, Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics or Mechatronics Engineering, or a relevant qualification
  • Ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Demonstrated resilience in high-stress situations

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with C/C++, Python, MATLAB
  • Familiarity with baremetal, RTOS and embedded Linux software development
  • Familiarity with FPGA software development (VHDL/Verilog)
