Senior Accountant Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Albury, providing business advisory services to a diverse mix of clients.

About the Job
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring effective job completion by meeting technical standards and deadlines, within budget.
  • Utilize strong technical skills, including working knowledge of income tax, company tax, CGT, FBT, trusts, Division 7A, management accounting, and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in preparing business advice and/or producing complex special purpose reports, annual financial statements, tax effect accounting, tax returns, and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, trusts, and businesses.
  • Contribute to business advisory projects, such as budgets and cash flows, KPI dashboards, management reporting, virtual CFO offerings, business planning, cloud accounting advisory, etc.
  • Provide hands-on assistance with cloud packages, including MYOB, Xero, and QBO, setting up ledgers, assisting with add-ons, and general troubleshooting to ensure clean and meaningful data.
  • Complete and supervise engagements involving multiple entities and various structures from beginning to end.
What You'll Need
  • Proven accounting experience within public practice or an established commercial organization.
  • CA or CPA qualification or working towards this (desirable).
  • Strong Excel skills and practical experience with cloud accounting products (i.e., Xero, MYOB).
  • Genuine desire to be an enthusiastic and active contributor to our growing team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize your workload.
  • Fantastic people skills, an outgoing personality, and a passion for accounting and business advisory services.
