Role Overview

Residential Care Manager at McLaren Vale will lead and manage our clinical care team to deliver exceptional care to residents. The role involves overseeing all aspects of clinical services, ensuring compliance with legislative and accreditation standards, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

This position requires:

  • Managing clinical care and nursing services to align with policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Overseeing resident assessments and care plans to ensure accurate documentation meets legislative requirements.
  • Implementing and monitoring systems for consistent service delivery, focusing on person-centred care and resident wellness.
  • Leading continuous quality improvement initiatives to promote positive outcomes for residents and staff.
  • Managing relationships with residents' families and external healthcare providers, addressing complex issues and maintaining clear communication.
  • Providing coaching and development opportunities for clinical staff, fostering a supportive and skilled workforce.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to WHS regulations and safety standards.
About the Role

This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with strong clinical expertise, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering quality care in a residential aged care setting.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong clinical expertise in aged care with comprehensive knowledge of the aging process and relevant health issues.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer relations skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong organisational skills, and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Knowledge of aged care legislation, Aged Care Act 1997, Accreditation Standards, ACFI, and WHS regulations.
