Role Overview

The Residential Care Manager will lead and manage our clinical care team to deliver outstanding care to residents at McLaren Vale. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of clinical services, ensuring compliance with legislative and accreditation standards, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Manage clinical care and nursing services, aligning them with policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Oversee resident assessments and care plans, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation meets legislative requirements.
  • Implement and monitor systems for consistent service delivery, focusing on person-centred care and resident wellness.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives, promoting positive outcomes for residents and staff.
  • Manage relationships with residents' families and external healthcare providers, addressing complex issues and maintaining clear communication.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities for clinical staff, fostering a supportive and skilled workforce.
  • Ensure all WHS regulations and safety standards are adhered to, maintaining a safe working environment for staff and residents.
About the Person

This role is ideal for a motivated Registered Nurse with strong clinical expertise, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering quality care in a residential aged care setting.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong clinical expertise in aged care, comprehensive knowledge of the aging process, and relevant health issues.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer relations skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong organisational skills, and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Knowledge of aged care legislation, Accreditation Standards, ACFI, and WHS regulations.
