Oral Health Specialist

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a skilled Oral Health Specialist providing high-quality dental services to patients.

You will be responsible for providing routine and emergency treatments, conducting general examinations, and promoting good oral health of personnel in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with medical officers, nursing officers, and specialist dental providers to provide comprehensive dental care.

The successful candidate will have Australian Citizenship or Commonwealth Security Clearance purposes, current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist, General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), minimum 2 years full-time post graduate clinical chair-side experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent), and recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and emergency dental services to patients.
  • Conduct general examinations and take x-rays as required.
  • Promote and maintain good oral health of personnel in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures.
  • Liaise with medical officers, nursing officers, and specialist dental providers to provide comprehensive dental care.
