Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Principal Systems Integration Engineer to join our team in this key role. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of technical solution design and business principles, with strong project fundamentals demonstrated through successful installations and assignments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with clients to address complex solution requirements, delegate tasks to engineers, and coordinate junior engineers' activities.
  • Prepare reports, proposals, and maintain project documentation, suggesting improvements to standard operating procedures.
  • Mentor and coach engineers, participating in complex solutions, authoring and contributing to the architecture, design, and implementation process.
  • Work independently, taking ownership of relevant technologies within your domain or specialization, monitoring the quality of work produced by Engineers and Technicians.
  • Liaise with vendors for priority escalations or bugs found during deployments, performing any other related tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • In-depth understanding and appreciation of technical solution design and business principles.
  • Strong project fundamentals demonstrated through successful installations and assignments.
  • Proven ability to take ownership as the technical lead throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Extensive specialist knowledge and expertise in relevant domains.
  • Significant experience in technical implementation engineering, particularly in Networking technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge in one or more of the following Networking technologies: EVPN VXLAN, Cisco SDN, MPLS/Segment Routing, Overlay/Underlay WAN technologies.
  • Strong skills in Enterprise systems and solutions with multiple vendors technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the System Engineering Management Plan framework and processes.
  • Excellent verbal communication abilities.
  • Client-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and guide team members.
  • Extensive experience in client engagement and conducting presentations.
  • Strong report writing skills.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
  • Professional level certifications in different Networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCIE, JNCIE, ACMP etc.
  • Registered on Engineers Australia National Engineering Register in the category Professional Engineer (Desirable).
  • Cisco Dev Net certification (Desirable).
Salary & Benefits:
