Job Title: Pub Duty Manager

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our beautiful family pub, ensuring that both the front-of-house and back-of-house teams deliver top-quality service. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive customer experience and will be the go-to person for staff and patrons during your shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise day-to-day operations, ensuring the pub runs smoothly during your shift.
  • Lead, motivate, and support the front-of-house team to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Manage staff scheduling, breaks, and shift handovers.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues efficiently to maintain a high standard of service.
  • Monitor cleanliness and ensure the venue meets health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Oversee bar and kitchen operations, ensuring quality control of food and beverages.
  • Handle cash management, daily takings, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in stock control, ordering, and inventory management.
  • Support staff training and development to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Proven experience in a similar style venue.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-groomed, upbeat, and friendly persona.
  • Strong passion for food and drinks.
  • A desire to provide an exceptional customer experience and lead by example.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Hold a current RSA.
