About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Newcastle. This role involves leading multidisciplinary teams delivering iconic projects, with a focus on structural design of buildings and ensuring successful project delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, building services, and civil engineers to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Project management and team leadership to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Work as part of a team on projects from conception to final design and construction surveillance.

Requirements:

  • A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
  • At least 8-12 years' industry experience as a Structural Engineer, with specific depth of experience in building design projects in a consulting environment.
  • Experience utilising a broad range of skills across various types of buildings and materials.
  • Membership of Engineers Australia and working towards CPEng and NER registration is desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards.
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
